We use only two leaves and the bud harvested from the tea plant (Camellia Sinensis) in the production of our organic and conventional black teas.
Black tea is the most oxidised sort of tea. This means it is richer in colour and more flavourful. It has also got the highest caffeine content of any type of tea, and the antioxidants present in it help in the prevention of many diseases.
Unlike other types of tea (be it green, white or oolong), black tea retains its flavour for many years.
Ceyfields’ black tea comes in fanning, dust, broken, extracts and leafy grades. All our tea grades are available as consumer packs or bulk tea, either after flavouring or in their natural state.
As we offer organic options in addition to our conventionally grown tea, our clientele who prefer organically grown products have the added peace of mind that their cup of tea is devoid of harmful chemical pesticides that could hinder the benefits of drinking tea.
Green tea is a product of the plant Camellia Sinensis that has been through minimal oxidation in processing. As such, its colour ranges from light green to light yellow. The caffeine content and flavour of this tea is notably substantially milder in comparison to black teas.
What makes green tea particularly interesting is that there can be many flavour variations to the product, due to variable horticulture, production processing, growing and plucking conditions, and harvesting time.
Ceyfields’ beautiful green teas come in both extract forms and leafy and broken grades and are sold as consumer packs or bulk packs in either natural or flavoured states. Due to their notorious health benefits, green tea has become the most sought after raw material for extracts to be used in a myriad of health foods, beverages, dietary supplements, baking, ice cream and cosmetic industries.
As we also offer organic green tea variants, our clientele have added peace of mind in knowing their cup of tea is free from harmful chemical residues that could offset the benefits of drinking green tea.
